An Increased Number of People Are Saving Money With Online Vouchers – A result of the Credit Crunch?
The popular voucher website Vouchercodes.co.uk reports that consumers have accessed over 14 million vouchers from their site so far this year. This is compared to only 2.5 million in 2007.
Consumers using vouchers to save money on groceries to electronics has increased 400 times more than only five years ago.
Only about half the accessed codes are actually used by consumers, however, this still shows that millions of people are trying to save money and conserve spending with the use of vouchers.
Surveys show that 90% of restaurants are using vouchers to get people out of the house and spending money during the recession. Vouchers through the mail and email are a great way for many businesses to get additional customers.
Grocery stores offer money off grocery deliveries and sometimes even waive the delivery charge with vouchers. Checking for new codes on a voucher site takes only a few minutes and can save the consumer a bundle!
